A Thai Tea Latte for Two and a Toast

Hello, blog reader. Long time no see on my new blog, and for that, I apologize. I've been on hiatus from the business end of Wuj Productions, focusing on writing songs with my husband and partner in life and music, Fred. Today, I took my first snapshot of the new season on my not-so-great-but-trusty old phone, a picture of these stylish little Irish coffee mugs I just received, that I'd wanted for a while. I posted it above, the cups of life filled with Thai tea latte for two, alongside the biggest, most gorgeous and redolent bloom out of the bouquet of scarlet roses he surprised me with last night. Love is in the air! People around us are getting married left and right, too, and I don't just mean soon-to-be Mr. & Mrs. Tayvis, who, if Showgirl is an indication, I imagine will walk down the aisle to Charlie Daniels.

Since my new blog is supposed to be a fragrance blog of sorts, I'm tying it into the flavorful stars of the set, the delicious, aromatic Thai tea, an authentic product of Thailand. The tea arrived in loose leaf, and since I'm not a serious tea drinker (yet), I used a few spoonfuls to make sachets out of repurposed matcha-sencha tea bags. To do that, after I cold brewed the matcha-sencha tea bags, I untied the loose knot on the strings that tie the top of the tea bags together, opened the bags up and replaced the used green tea with fresh Thai tea, good for one more use through the day. Voila! The scent is sweet and spicy, with star anise, cardamom, clove and vanilla. I don't need sugar when the smell of vanilla is this intoxicatingly sweet, and the taste when you add milk is like vanilla shake lite. It is what I'd call a comfort scent. Maybe I'll add edible rose buds alongside the wine charm next time for the photo op.

Happy days of the fall season leading up to another chilly winter here, in NYC, to you!🍵
